Roof Replacement. I believe I posted here
several months to a year ago looking for roofer
recommendations. I have a VERY large roof which
needed some carpentry work done as well. After
speaking with some roofers, it became clear that all
that they did was roofing… the carpentry
work would be contracted out to carpenters either
by me or them. Ultimately I called the town’s building
inspector to ask for his advice and he quickly
suggested Jake’s Carpentry saying they have an A1
crew and carpentry expertise. Jake’s Carpentry
built a shed for us many years ago so I gave Brian
Riordan a call. Well, it was a great decision. The
have a crew that they’ve worked with for 20+ years))
and it all went like a well-oiled machine. They rebuilt
SEVEN dormers (one of which was leaking badly)
and a massive roof… and it all looks really, really
good! Their work ethic, consideration, expertise, and

We are thinking early spring to get the rest of the windows done prior to getting front and rear painted. Very happy with the windows and rest of work. We are also looking at installing a new kitchen next year.

Creating an art studio in my house has long been a dream of mine.  This winter it finally happened, Brian Riordan and his gang of blockbuster craftsmen created a magical space out of a dark, bare bones attic.

In creating the studio space, I had several concerns that needed to be addressed.  The first and foremost concern was the immense amount of custom shelving that I needed.  Dale listened to my descriptions, looked at my pictures, and, with the help of Rob, somehow managed to create shelving units that met all of my specifications.

My second concern was the lighting for the space.  Not only did it need more natural light, it also need a large amount of very good track lighting.  Brian and Dale replaced the small dark window with a beautiful, extremely large window and in doing so changed the entire feel of the room.  Marc found and installed wonderful track lighting that looks terrific and works beautifully.

Because the attic was not hooked up to our central heating/cooling system, the ability to  maintain a comfortable and consistent temperature year round was a point of concern. However, Tom – the heating specialist- installed 2 splitters, each with their own separate controls, and they work beautifully.

And, finally, Tom- the flooring specialist -did a beautiful job laying the floor, while Bernard was a sheet-rocking superhero!

These gentlemen came and went efficiently and smoothly. They were friendly, polite, and very professional. Brian’s communication was outstanding and he kept me appraised every step of the way.

This was a large project that started from scratch and necessitated the ability to both envision and create unusual custom elements. We are so very pleased with the result, and we very highly recommend Brian and the gang.  Melora McLaughlin, Hampton, NH
